By providing hope and positive vision, Optimists bring out the best in kids. Adult volunteers join Optimist Club s to conduct positive service projects in their communities aimed at providing a helping hand to youth. With their upbeat attitude, Optimist Club members help empower young people to be the best that they can be. Every year, Optimists around the world conduct 65,000 service projects and serve well over six million young people. |

The Lawrence Breakfast Optimist Tuesday Breakfast meetings will be held at Stone Hill Hotel, 6101 Rock Chalk Dr, Lawrence KS 66049 during the month of February.
The Lawrence Breakfast Optimist Club Foundation has approved their 2023-2024 budget. Distribution of funds to various youth programs in Lawrence and Douglas County is underway. This year the Optimists will provide funds to the following:
New York Elementary School, Ballard Community Center, Kansas Big Brothers and Big Sisters, Douglas County Special Olympics, Camp Quality, Optimist International Childhood Cancer, American Legion Post #14, Camp Bromelsick Boy Scouts, Van Go, Stop Gap, Lawrence Children's Choir and Just Food.
Additionally, dictionaries are presented to 4th graders, plus multiple scholarships to graduating seniors.
